Break out the snowboards and ski's while you still can.  Peace River's Misery Mountain Ski Hill is holding their annual Slush Cup event tomorrow.  Gates open at 10 AM.  The Slush Cup competition will run from 1 until 4 and costs 10 bucks to sign-up.  There's also going to be night skiing from 5 until 9 and then the hill will officially close it's gates for the season.

Fairview Curling Club is presenting Try Your First End for first time curlers.  You can stop by their club Sunday (Mar7) between 1 and 4 o'clock to try.  All you need to bring with you is clean indoor shoes.

The Mackenzie Little League, which operated out of the High Level area, is hosting the Prairie Championships for 11 and 12 year olds this season.  It's scheduled to begin July the 24th.  They'll be holding their first community organizational meeting for the event March 10th at 7 PM at the Town Hall.  If you can't make it but want to help call Dennis at 841-4864.

The Peace River Bantam Sabres are doing some fund-raising to help with travel costs to the Provincials in a couple weeks.  They're asking you help out by donating bottles and cans to Total Engine Services in Peace River.  It's right across from the Jehovah Witness Church near Glenmary High School.  For more call Danny at 618-6559.

The Nampa Curling Club is putting on their Annual Bonspiel March 12th through the 14th.  To register please call Lucie at 322-3851 by March 10th.  Entry fee is $160 per team.

The Twilight Figure Skating Club's Annual Carnival will be held March the 14th at the Donnelly Arena.  The Sexsmith Figure Skating club will send special guest Kristen Lazoruk to put on a performance as well.  For more info on the event call Cindy at 925-2332.

The cut-off to sign-up for this years Eaglesham Farmers Bonspiel will be March 17th.  The event will run from March 19th through the 21st.  Costs are 160 per team.  For more call Steven at 864-1916.

Peace River Minor Hockey's Annual General Meeting will take place Tuesday, March 23rd.   It starts at 7 PM and will be upstairs at the Kinsman Arena.

The Peace Country Sports Club in Peace River has a variety of drop-in sports going on. Squash is Monday's, Racquetball Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and Badminton Sundays. For more you can call the Peace Country Sports Club at 624-2464.

In Valleyview on Mondays there's drop-in adult badminton from 8 to 10 PM at Hillside North. The drop in fee is 2 dollars a night.

There's some drop-in Badminton going on in Deadwood as well.  It's goes every Wednesday at the Deadwood Community Hall at 7 o'clock.
